NAHCA / ACHP Annual Convention

The NAHCA/ACHP Annual Convention reaches an audience of approximately 500 front line caregivers in the healthcare industry. This year's theme is "NAHCAWOOD: Celebrating the Stars of LTC" and will be held in Oklahoma City at the Renaissance Convention Center Hotel and Spa on June 2-3, 2010.

We are a nonprofit association which strive to put together an energetic and well-balanced educational program to a diverse audience and make their learning experience the best it can be. Our attendees have varying levels of experience from significant experience (10+ years) to moderate experience (5-10 years) and limited experience (0-5 years in the profession). The NAHCA/ACHP Annual Convention promises great exposure for you. Speaking to this group is a great opportunity to get involved, lead the profession and share your areas of expertise.

Submission Guidelines

The National Association of Health Care Assistants invites you to submit a Speaker Proposal for our 2010 annual convention to be held June 2-3, 2010 at the Renaissance Convention Center Hotel and Spa in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The educational program for the conference is being designed to ensure that attendees leave each session with effective strategies to achieve operational excellence in the healthcare industry.

  • Sessions last approximately 60-90 minuites. with an expected attendance of 500 caregivers

  • Submissions may be individual, group, or panel presentations. NAHCA reserves the right to combine proposed topics and presenters.

  • Individuals or groups may submit more than one proposal.

  • Submitting a proposal does not guarantee that your presentation will be selected. NAHCA reserves the right to make final presentation selections and edit abstracts.

  • Presenters may NOT use a session as an opportunity to spotlight a company, product, or service.

  • Presenters who are selected to speak at the NAHCA / ACHP Annual Convention agree to abide by ALL deadlines set forth by the Event Coordinator.

  • Submissions must be received no later than 5:00pm on Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Applications should be submitted online, by mail, and  emailed to:

Speaker Selection

Speakers will be chosen based upon the following criteria:

  • Quality, timeliness and value of content

  • Relevance to the needs of the NAHCA members and annual convention attendees

  • Speakers Fees ~ NOTE: in an effort to keep registration fees at a minimum, the NAHCA Annual Convention operates on a limited speaker fee budget, Therefore, speakers who will waive the request for honorarium or fees will be given top priority.
