Lori Porter
Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer
Lori is responsible for advancing the Association's mission and vision throughout skilled and assisted living communities nationwide. Lori is a nationally sought after speaker on frontline development, team building and transforming workforces into CareForce's. She brings more than 31 years skilled experience to the leadership of NAHCA. Lori was a CNA for seven years, marketing/admissions director for two years, a nursing home administrator for seven years and 16 years at the helm of NAHCA. Porter is dedicated to motivating, educating and developing frontline excellence. She is a motivational leader whose dedication to long term care is evident in every speech and in every communication.

Lisa Cantrell
Co-Founder, Chief Clinical Officer
As cofounder, Lisa serves as a steward of NAHCA's mission and vision. In addition, she is responsible for developing state of the art learning systems and educational content to ensure the Association's success in motivating, educating and developing frontline excellence. She is a gifted communicator and educator. For more than 29 years Lisa has served long term care as a CNA, LPN and RN. She is uniquely positioned to develop specific core curricula to advance NAHCA members in professional development. As a former CNA, director of nursing and corporate nurse consultant she understands the educational needs and requirements of any skilled and/or assisted living community. Lisa's authored NAHCA's Geriatric Care Specialist Certification program for CNAs, understanding their desire to expand their education and enhance their skills in caring for the aged. To date more than 5000 certified nursing assistants have successfully earned the distinction of Geriatric Care Specialist (GCS).

Jeff Carter
Senior Vice President, Membership Services
Jeff began his long term care career in 1974 as an orderly/nursing assistant in a Kansas City nursing home. With hard work and determination, Jeff became the facility's bookkeeper. After returning to school and training with the administrator, he earned his license for Nursing Home Administrator. After working as an Administrator/Lead Administrator for nearly twenty years, Jeff joined the National Association of Health Care Assistants, NAHCA, as the Membership Director. After ten years of service to NAHCA members, he became self-employed in real estate and worked in long term care administration. Jeff has supported and advocated for NAHCA and NAHCA members since it was founded in 1995. He has donated countless volunteer hours to the Association and has always worked to help further NAHCA's mission. In 2005, Jeff was recipient of NAHCA's prestigious Focus Award for his unwavering dedication. After coming full circle, Jeff has returned to NAHCA as Senior Vice President, Membership Services. He is honored to once again be serving NAHCA members.

Jason Porter
Director, Communications and Public Affairs
Jason is responsible for the execution of the public policy agenda of the Association. He promotes the mission and policy agenda important to the members of the Association and the elders they serve. As DCPA, Jason continually captures the good works of the Association and its members through various forms of mass communication. Jason comes to NAHCA from Mercy Health System. He is excited to help promote the mission of NAHCA and its members.

Connie Trendel
Director, Operations
Connie is a 23 year veteran CNA who joined the NAHCA team in 2001 as a membership consultant. She has grown within the Association and is now responsible for the internal operations management. She works closely with all departments and coordinates activities, communications and resource management. In addition, Connie serves as editor and chief of NAHCAs quarterly online magazine My Caregiver.

Jared Wilkinson
Director, Education
Prior to joining NAHCA, Jared was a Field Engineer for a Joplin IT company. Through this company, Jared learned about the mission and vision of the NAHCA team. Jared was previously a Math and Physics Teacher for a local high school and developed his passion for education while earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics Education. He graduated with a 3.7 GPA from Missouri Southern State University, receiving acknowledgement as the Outstanding Math Education Graduate. Upon graduating, Jared was honored with the Spencer Bartlett Respect Award for his accomplishments as a student. He also earned an Associate of Science degree in Computer-Aided-Drafting/Design way back in the 90’s. Jared enjoys helping people build confidence and knowledge while they pursue educational goals. He decided to become an educator after spending nearly 10 years in a Research & Development division, serving most recently as a Project Engineer. Jared is most proud of being a father to his 4 year-old son, Hayden. Hayden has inspired Jared to pursue endeavors that promote continuous learning, pride, and achievement. Hayden is a busy little man, and together they find adventure in every experience.

Jerry Reinke
Professional Development Coach
Jerry originally joined the NAHCA team in 2000, and worked with NAHCA until 2009 when he took a three year hiatus to reconnect with the front line. Jerry excitedly rejoins the NAHCA team with a fresh perspective eager to serve our members as a Professional Development Coach. During his employment with NAHCA, Jerry presented in twenty-eight states to thousands of CNAs, administrators, DONs, SDCs and other professionals in long term care. He has also spoken for the Montana, New Mexico, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas and Ohio State Health Care Associations. Jerry has logged thousands of hours speaking and teaching on topics such as team building, communications, and mentoring. He smartly weaves humor and experiences from his past to motivate and educate his audience. During his experience as a long term care professional, he has had the opportunity to work with some of the greatest people of our nation… the elderly. Jerry is proud to have dedicated the past 27 years of his life to long term care.

Dane Henning
Marketing / Technical Coordinator
Dane serves as NAHCA Marketing and Technical Coordinator. Dane is energetic and is eager to serve the mission of NAHCA. He joined the team in April 2011 and has been busy learning the field of long term care and the best ways to spotlight NAHCA within it. He manages NAHCA's social media sites, assists with communications, marketing as well as the Associations online Pro Shop. Dane is a great utility player and is always willing to serve the mission whenever called upon.
Andrea Haner
Executive Assistant to the CEO
Andi coordinates Lori Porter’s busy office, travel, and appearance schedule. Prior to joining the NAHCA team, Andi was the staffing coordinator for Restore Therapy, a company providing rehabilitative services for long term care facilities. She was responsible for scheduling therapy staffing and visits for ten nursing homes the company serviced in Missouri and Arkansas. Andi is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications.
Lloyd Luapula
Professional Development Coach
Lloyd works closely with NVCC students, particularly Preceptors. Lloyd was born and raised in Lusaka, Zambia. After moving to the United States, Lloyd attended Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri where he received an Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies. Lloyd is a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked in that capacity for five years before joining NAHCA.
