CNA/Caregiver Leadership Team
Program
Consultants work
with your facility to establish a
Caregiver Leadership Team (NLT). The
NVCC NLT's Function is to establish
a system which will represent NAHCA
and its Mission with the facility.
The leadership Team is responsible
for implementing programs including
staff development, recruitment
welcoming of new associates,
education, mentoring and many more
that ensure the success of the NAHCA
program.

Certified Preceptor Course
Training is said to be the
key ingredient to a caregivers
success, yet the availability of
train-the-trainer programs for
caregivers have been
nonexistent. NVCC has recognized
this need and developed a two
day intensive training program
conducted by NVCC faculty at
your facility. This course has
proven to be the #1 instrument
to maximize retention and
recruitment efforts. This
program is filled with
information, ideas and exercises
that transform caregivers into
experts in orientation and
caregiver development.

Geriatric Care
Specialist Correspondence Course
(GCS)
The
Geriatric Care Specialist
Program is a 10 module
correspondence study course for
Caregivers. This independent
study course gives caregivers
the opportunity to advance
skills, education and knowledge
in the field of geriatric care.
Students have up to one year to
complete the course and final
examination. The GCS course is
an annual certification program
which requires each graduate to
renew their certification yearly
by submitting verification they
have attended 12 hours of
in-service education for that
year. Facilities and
corporations can utilize this
program in many ways. It can be
ordered and presented as a
classroom course or utilized as
an independent career lattice
tool. This program will also be
available on the NAHCA Virtual
